my tips - Cut batting at 2 1/4 inches wide, I used 9 Bobbins on the final piece, so have those ready if you can, need a really good steam iron, the rug will become wavy as you sew, but a good steam iron works wonders, every time you need to change bobbin is a good time to give it a press, I had to iron on the floor as it became larger, do wear quilting gloves when sewing as it does become heavy.
